Role: Setter
Key Responsibilities:
As a Setter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of injection moulding machines. Your responsibilities will include:
? Efficient Tool Changeovers: Expertly change over tooling and equipment to support the production plan.
? Quality Assurance: Try out parts after changeover, ensuring they meet quality standards and process checks are completed.
? Safety First: Adhere to life-saving safety rules, with a focus on LOTO and working at heights during setup.
? Maintenance Support: Perform planned maintenance tasks and prepare tools and equipment for setup to minimize downtime.
? Machine Operation: Start up and close down injection moulding machines according to manufacturers instructions.
? Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, maintaining flexibility within the Plastics manufacturing area.
? Continuous Improvement: Use initiative to promote continuous improvement and collaborate with the technical team to implement enhancements.
? Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, housekeeping, and uphold a 5S culture.
? Training and Development: Undertake necessary training for the role, both internal and external, as full training will be provided.
Person Specification:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with the following attributes:
? Technical Expertise: Previous technical experience with multiple injection moulding machines.
? Qualifications: Qualified to IMT2 standard (desirable) and experience with 3-axis robots, ideally Wittmann (an advantage).
? Manufacturing Experience: Significant experience working in a fast-paced Tier 1 Manufacturing environment.
? Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
? Problem-Solving: High levels of problem-solving skills and a hands-on technical approach.
? Literacy & Numeracy: High level of literacy and numeracy, with computer literacy.
? Flexibility: A flexible attitude to support production when and where required.
