MDE are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join a market leading manufacturing business. You will be supporting production with your electrical, mechanical and hydraulic skills, tending to reactive breakdowns of complex machinery (presses, robotics, conveyors etc) and undertaking planned PPM activities to minimise down time, increase output and quality, and reduce costs.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. This will be conducted under the direction of the Engineering Manager, in order to ensure safe, timely and efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment.
Vacancy Requirements:
- To have good knowledge and understanding of mechanical/Hydraulic and electrical drawings
- Ideal candidate to have a strong electrical bias and able to electrically test, repair inspect and fault find wiring and installations
- Ideal candidate to have knowledge and understanding of the Plastic process industry with Hydraulic and pneumatics experience
- Automation/ PLC knowledge
- Attending to reactive breakdowns and PPM
- To demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability
