Investment Writer - London, Greater London

As part of our clients expansion, they are seeking to hire a Content Writer/Manager to generate a range of investment, editorial, and thought leadership content. Given our focus on the environment, we are looking for candidates with a genuine and proven interest in environmental issues and the role that the financial services industry plays in promoting a more sustainable economy. The ideal candidate will be a great storyteller, grounded in facts and data, and not afraid to challenge the status quo.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the individual who takes this role will have a hands-on attitude and need to work confidently and autonomously alongside various internal and external stakeholders including the Distribution team, Portfolio Management, Investment Research, and Compliance, as well as the company Directors and their operating partners.

Responsibilities include:

• Investment Writing - produce and edit exceptional texts (storytelling) on a range of different investment themes and products.
• Bring clarity to complex investment-related concepts in a compelling and engaging style across a range of media and platforms
• Work closely with the environmental research team to create case studies, thought leadership pieces, and whitepapers. Analyse and visualise key data insights.
• Develop engaging content such as blog posts, press releases, sales aids etc.
• Working with Adobe/Canva to produce material as well as external agencies to manage the content creation process.
• Oversee Content Library and website, ensuring messaging is up-to-date and on-brand
• Work closely with marketing colleagues on campaigns and product launches, Research and plan content for newsletters, pitchbooks, website posts, Linked In, investment reports, video, and other digital media.
• Drive engagement along the whole client journey, including working closely with marketing colleagues to optimize the accessibility and visibility of content and ROI.
• Keep on top of developments and regulations in the sustainable finance field and ESG investment industry

The candidate should possess:

• A relevant degree with a proven background in either investment writing/content management or financial journalism.
• Minimum 2/3 years experience required.
• A solid understanding of investments and ESG issues as well as an interest in the role that the financial services sector plays in promoting a more sustainable economy.
• Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to turn facts and data into engaging and thought-provoking content across a range of different media.
• You will be able to demonstrate excellent written content across all forms of key platforms, assist with content planning, and devise strategies to improve client engagement.
• A good knowledge of the financial sector, including an understanding of the differences in writing for professional or private investors in various regions, as well as the associated regulatory, legal and compliance considerations.
• Willing to actively support the marketing team with other marketing duties as required. As part of a small team, you will need a hands-on approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workflow, meet deadlines, and manage projects autonomously
• Possess excellent Microsoft Office skills, esp. PowerPoint. Experience with Qvidian, tableau, Canva, WordPress and other content tools is an advantage
