Role Title: Senior Analyst - Energy Industry - Hybrid

Salary & Benefits: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE + bonus + benefits

The ideal candidate:

MDE is seeking someone who possesses a strong foundation in regulatory compliance expertise, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in UK energy regulations. Alongside regulatory understanding, they should exhibit a keen aptitude for data analysis, capable of dissecting energy consumption data, identifying trends and anomalies, and enabling informed decision-making to ensure compliance.

 

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Energy Management Systems and strong stakeholder engagement skills, facilitating effective communication of compliance requirements. Project management skills would enable the ideal candidate to drive projects forward, enhance operational efficiencies, and mitigate potential risks. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee application and submission processes for Energy Compliance schemes, managing ongoing reporting for legislative obligations such as CCAs, SECR, and efficiency projects.
  • Acquire site-specific data from clients and Account Managers to support Energy Management as a Service (EMaaS) contracts, including production, occupancy, and operational times.
  • Screen and gather data for Carbon reporting (SECR or Net Zero), and prioritise data alerts for the Energy Control Centre, escalating relevant alerts to Energy managers & Clients.
  • Generate reports on energy consumption patterns to assist audit teams in pinpointing energy and carbon reductions.
  • Aid in conducting feasibility studies and developing digital twins for various clients, collaborating with the sales team on Compliance-specific business growth, serving as a focal point for EMT services.

 

 

Requirements for Success:

  • 3 years experience working within the energy industry
  • Understanding of ESOS, SECR, EPC, and other energy regulations
  • Experience preparing compliance reports and confidence in presenting these to a variety of stakeholders
  • Understanding of Energy Management Systems
  • A passion for reducing carbon emissions and being part of a greener future!
