An expanding and successful manufacturer in north Birmingham are actively seeking a Logistics Engineer to join their North Birmingham site on a permanent and full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Flow Optimization
- Oversee Value Stream Mapping for logistics.
- Support new part initiatives within the department.
- Promote cost solutions.
- Manage Safety Systems
- Project Management
- Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and improve warehouse physical condition and layout for efficient space utilization.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to enhance business efficiency, process improvements, and value addition.
- Health and Safety: Uphold standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
- Business Alignment: Define concepts aligned with the business plan.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- BSc degree in relevant field.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics procedures and best practices.
- Proven experience as a Logistics Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and systems.
- Previous experience leading logistics projects.
