Our client is a global leader in EPC services, specialising in developing, constructing, and operating solar power plants. They have an extensive track record, having installed hundreds of PV systems with a combined output of 4 gigawatts worldwide.
As a major player in the O&M sector, they also oversee the operation and maintenance of a significant capacity of PV plants. Their mission is to drive the European energy transition forward and ensure a sustainable energy supply for future generations
Due to organic growth, our client is looking to add a Site Quality Engineer to their team who can deliver top-tier Quality Management for cutting-edge, turn-key EPC Solar PV & Battery Storage projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-site quality management of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
- Reviewing installation works against quality and contractual requirements in coordination with the project engineering team.
- Ensuring the highest HSQE standards are maintained on site, in compliance with UK HSE and CDM regulations.
- Implementation of the project Quality Plan.
- Timely completion of site quality checklists, inspections, and tests.
- Sub-contractor management, coordinating with sub-contractors on all quality topics daily.
- Preparing and delivering site quality documentation for project handover and O&M or safety file compilation.
- Identifying and escalating any NCRs or risks to budget, program, or quality to the Project Management team.
- Checking material deliveries to the site.
- Weekly reporting to the Project Quality Manager on site quality.
Skills Required:
- Qualification or vocational training in electrical engineering.
- Experience with renewable energy technologies in the UK, preferably Solar PV and/or Battery Storage.
- Good knowledge of quality management.
- SMSTS qualification is a plus.
- First Aid training is a plus.
- Self-starter with a commitment to self-development and a passion for renewable energy.
- Flexible – the role will require managing several sites and staying locally during the construction phase.
- Clean UK driving license.
