Senior Electrician - Solar PV (500Kw-3Mw) 

£45,000-£55,000 + vehicle + benefits 

Region of coverage: South of England (London, Bristol, Bournemouth and Brighton)

MDE continue to support a leading UK commercial scale solar organisation expand, this time recruiting for a senior electrician. Covering the Southern England region for this organisation. 

The role is to manage all aspects of electrical installation for commercial scale solar PV systems. This role requires effective coordination with various teams to ensure seamless project delivery, emphasising safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Whilst the organisation tries to keep their teams within their region, sometimes there are stay-aways and travel. We expect the successful applicant to understand that, on occasion, business requirements could lead to this. 

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the installation process of commercial solar PV systems, ensuring technical and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the mechanical team to ensure efficient cable routing and proper sealing of penetrations.
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to streamline workflows and allocate resources effectively.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in all electrical installations.
• Prioritise safety, quality, and client satisfaction throughout all projects.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and support engineers, encouraging their professional development.
• Maintain consistent quality standards within the team through effective mentoring.
• Apply exceptional problem-solving skills to address challenges encountered during installations.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Promote a strong safety culture on job sites.
• Conduct regular training sessions and enforce safety protocols to mitigate risks.
• Maintain excellent client relations through clear and professional communication.
• Resolve client concerns promptly and effectively

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3, AM2,
• City & Guilds 2391/ 2394/2395 or equivalent 
• ECS Gold card.
• City & Guilds 2360
• Valid driving licence.
