Health and Safety Advisor - Andover, Hampshire

My client is actively seeking an ambitious and experienced Health and Safety professional with either an engineering or manufacturing background to join them on a permanent and full time basis. This role would be well suited to an ambitious individual who works well in a small team, and is actively seeking or already achieved formal qualifications within Health and Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Organisational Compliance to Health & Safety Regulations including:
- COSHH - Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
- RoHS - The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
- REACH - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals.
- WEEE - Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
- RIDDOR - Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulation 2013
- PPE - Personal Protective Equipment.
- Creating and maintaining Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Monitoring changes in regulations and initiating changes required to remain compliant.
- Coordinate accident reporting and records.
- Coordinate Fire Safety measures and records.
- Assist with Quality System, compliance and facilities tasks as requested by your manager.
- Monitor and regulate Internal e-learning system.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by your manager.
Desirable requirements:
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications or be studying towards.
- Have an understanding of general engineering and/or Quality systems.
- An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to develop solutions.
- Effective communicator to all stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
