Job Description
The Operations Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of a product, ensuring quality and cost efficiency at every stage. This role involves working across all business areas to guarantee the best possible customer experience for each product.
Duties of the Operations Manager
Project Management: Leading cross-functional teams, planning, scheduling, and reviewing workloads to deliver products on time, within budget, and meeting targets.
Performance Monitoring: Setting and reviewing workload schedules, and monitoring performance against KPIs and targets to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Resource Allocation: Ensuring the necessary manpower, competence, skill, and knowledge are available to achieve production targets, and that the workforce is deployed cost-effectively.
Quality Assurance: Monitoring and reviewing operations to maintain high-quality standards, ensuring products meet specifications, and are presented and packaged appropriately.
Process and Equipment Management: Ensuring quality processes, appropriate equipment, and conducive working environments for high-quality service production.
Customer Requirement Fulfilment: Ensuring the appropriate methods and sufficient care are employed to meet customer requirements.
Process Management
Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with internal and external stakeholders to maximize delivery and performance of each product.
Management Coordination: Organizing, planning, and coordinating all management activities to achieve a Right First Time culture.
Systems Efficiency: Ensuring IT and inventory systems/processes run efficiently and effectively.
Process Improvement: Implementing improvement processes and systems to increase throughput and minimize costs.
Recruitment and Employment Compliance: Ensuring all recruitment and employment practices adhere to company procedures and comply with current employment law.
Performance Management: Conducting performance management and annual appraisals.
Personnel Performance Monitoring: Reviewing and addressing personnel performance, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures.
