Salary: £37,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience and on-call rota participation)

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00am - 16:00pm
• Friday: 08:00am - 15:00pm
• 39 hours per week with the potential to join the on-call rota.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking skilled Electrical Engineers to join our dynamic maintenance team. This role is primarily a day shift position, providing consistent hours with the opportunity to participate in our on-call rota system, which increases earning potential.

Job Description:

Qualifications:

• Time-served Electrical Engineer with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or above.

Experience:

• Experience in a maintenance environment. Experience in medium to heavy engineering is advantageous.

Skills:

• Proficiency in working with 3-phase motors and machinery, including fault finding, testing, and inspection.
• Essential controls experience with inverters, PLCs, and process controls, including excellent fault-finding skills and some programming skills.
• Competence in electrical installation work, including lighting and containment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform both reactive and proactive maintenance on all LV plant and machinery.
• Conduct maintenance checks and planned maintenance during shutdown periods.
• Repair and correct all LV electrical installations, such as lighting and sockets.
• Participate in the on-call rota after completing a probationary period and skill lead time.
• Provide timely and efficient response to emergency call-outs, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve operational excellence.

Shifts and Pay:

Day Shift:

• £18.30 per hour, equating to approximately £37,100 per year.

On-Call Rota:

• Once on the rota, pay increases to £39,770 per year, with the on-call system rotating over a 6-week period.
• Overtime is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate Monday to Saturday, and double time on Sundays.
• Additional £20 per night retainer during on-call weeks, plus mileage reimbursement.
