Purpose of Role:
To supervise electrical and systems engineering teams, creating a positive and dynamic work environment. The role involves providing technical leadership across a portfolio of projects and assets.
The successful candidate will lead and inspire the team, helping them to achieve excellence and develop new skills through mentoring and clear guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering recommendations and technical support for reviews, strategic plans, and projects.
- Assist with allocation, budgeting, resource planning, and scheduling.
- Manage cost estimations and determine reliable material sources.
- Ensure on-time product development by collaborating with managers to estimate accurate schedules and solve problems.
- Streamline production processes while maintaining compliance with safety guidelines.
- Create production, quality validation, and evaluation requirements; troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Establish technical standards in reviews, documentation, and designs.
- Manage Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers.
- Act as a key stakeholder in the Projects Team.
- Ensure verification and electrical engineering design methodologies meet product and safety requirements.
- Ensure development processes align with established timelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an Electrical Engineering Management role, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality work.
- Strong commitment to safety, demonstrated through leadership and example.
- Recognized qualifications in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lead engineer on commercial projects.
- Prior experience in electrical engineering management.
- General knowledge of CAD is advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of national codes and regulations.
