Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Innovate and engineer machinery that meets performance, operational, and cost specifications. Oversee the assembly, testing, and refinement of new designs.
- Customer & Team Collaboration: Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to enhance design consistency and align with our core philosophies.
- Quality Assurance: Create top-quality designs and drawings that consider all impacts on the business, from internal teams to end users.
- Project Management: Manage design projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Technical Support: Provide high-level support to customers and team members, assisting with troubleshooting and solutions development.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth transitions from design to documentation, prototyping, and production.
- Decision Making: Make informed decisions within company guidelines and communicate them effectively.
- Continuous Learning: Keep your technical and industry knowledge up-to-date to stay ahead in the field.
- Travel Opportunities: Travel to customer sites and company locations to support and enhance equipment development.
About You:
- Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in design, particularly in special purpose machine design or manufacturing. Experience with vibratory machinery and sheet metal design is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Autodesk Inventor
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving design challenges.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
