Solar Site Manager
Site-based: Hitchin/Stevenage
£55,000-70,000 + benefits
A global renewable EPC is recruiting for a site manager to oversee the delivery of a 50 MW solar farm. You must have previous experience in a similar role working on a UK solar farm.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assess site engineering progress.
- Act as the primary liaison between contractors and clients.
- Manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring project goals are met.
- Monitor daily activities, including safety, contract compliance, and environmental standards.
- Maintain thorough site documentation, including daily logs and photographic records.
- Attend progress meetings and compile project snagging lists.
Were looking for someone with:
- SMSTS & additional construction qualifications
- Civil, Mechanical or electrical qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar construction management.
- HSE qualifications
- Proven ability to manage contractors in the energy sector.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Flexible, proactive approach with excellent organisational abilities.
- Experience in substation construction is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
