Design and MEICA Manager
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + benefits
Location: South West England
Contract: Permanent
A leading contractor in the utilities and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Design and MEICA Manager to oversee the design and delivery of MEICA services within a major non-core project portfolio. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for ensuring safe, compliant and efficient project execution, reporting directly to the Director of Projects.
The Role
Lead the management and coordination of design and MEICA services across multiple projects.
Oversee project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, programme and budget compliance.
Deputise for the Director of Projects, making key decisions and providing day-to-day leadership.
Drive corporate governance and best practice in project delivery.
Manage budgets, resources and operational processes to maximise efficiency and profitability.
Lead client stakeholder management, building strong commercial relationships.
Ensure CDM compliance, risk management and adherence to company systems and procedures.
Contribute to long-term strategic planning and implementation of new technologies.
Provide leadership, coaching and motivation to multi-disciplinary project teams.
The Person
Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in engineering or construction management.
Strong track record in the management and delivery of design & build projects of varying value.
In-depth knowledge of CDM compliance and NEC contracts.
Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organisational, decision-making and negotiation capabilities.
Ability to lead multi-discipline teams and influence across all levels of the business.
