Warehouse Supervisor / Manager
Location: Portishead, Bristol
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor / Manager to take ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations. This is a hybrid position, combining practical, on-the-floor leadership with key administrative and coordination responsibilities.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth goods in/out operations, stock accuracy, and excellent service delivery — leading by example to maintain efficiency, safety, and team morale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support daily warehouse operations including goods in, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Supervise, motivate, and develop warehouse staff to achieve high standards of performance.
Maintain stock accuracy through regular checks, system updates, and reporting.
Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Oversee the safe use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
Uphold health & safety standards and ensure compliance with all company procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Service) to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
Contribute to the improvement of warehouse systems and processes.
Support KPI tracking and operational reporting.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role (or ready to step up into one).
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control processes.
Hands-on and proactive approach to work with the ability to lead by example.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Confident using IT systems (ERP, WMS, MS Office).
Knowledge of health & safety and manual handling practices.
Full UK driving licence required.
Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
