Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

Our client is a renewable energy industry pioneer that connects renewable energy projects to the grid to accelerate the race to net zero. They are currently working on some of Europes major projects and are looking to add a SQS to their team!
Role summary
The Senior quantity surveyor is accountable for Main and subcontract negotiations, commercial risk management, financial project reporting, improving workers commercial understanding and skills, negotiating terms and conditions with the supply chain, and contractual administration.
Main responsibilities:
- Monthly project finance and milestone meetings with the Head of Commercial.
- Bi-monthly meetings with the quantity surveyors to review project performance.
- Weekly Commercial workflow meeting.
- Bimonthly Project Profit meeting.
- Monthly senior management team meetings
- Ad-Hoc project risk adjudication meetings
- Maintaining the project cashflow forecast.
- Training and coaching employees on managing contracts.
- Management of commercial workflow
- Overseeing the commercial recruitment process with the Head of Commercial.
- Pre contract agreements and LOIs
- Assistance on negotiation of contracts.
- Project positive cashflow and milestone creation.
- Review of employers requirements and distribution of DOR for employers requirements.
- Commercial approval of subcontracts.
- Financial management of projects.
- Monthly client invoicing
- Project cashflow management.
- Invoicing substantiation
- Review and approval of contract variations.
- Resolving contract disputes.
- Management of contractual administration (EWN,CE,EOT)
Essential criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for grid connections
- Can demonstrate working and interfacing with clients and key stakeholders on a project
- You will possess excellent communication skills as well as strong management skills
- Good track record of contract management
- Strong understanding of budget and cashflow management
- Strong Understanding of business finances (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Highly organised with an ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to effectively problem solve and think outside the box
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with ease
- Professional demeanour and presentation
- Self-motivated, driven and goal orientated
- Proactive nature and initiative-taking approach to work tasks
- Willingness to develop and learn new skills
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Programming Software)
