Job Title: Design / Project Engineer (Electrical)
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000, dependent on experience.
Location: Essex
Reports to: Managing Partner
Overall, Purpose: To serve as an electrical design engineer for renewable energy systems, responsible for designing and implementing various systems such as ASHP, solar thermal, MVHR, AC, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical control systems for commercial and domestic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to gather necessary information for designs.
- Utilize AutoCAD and solar software to create measurements and designs, producing schematic drawings for renewable energy systems.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of ASHP, MVHR, AC, solar thermal, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging systems, and control systems.
- Prepare quotes, specifications, and supporting documents for projects.
- Collaborate with product suppliers and clients.
- Organize project information and maintain records.
- Provide technical support to end users and field teams.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in dealing with solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Windows).
- Experience in Design Engineering, with a focus on Electrical (Mechanical knowledge is preferable as well).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage a challenging and diverse workload.
- ASHP design experience is preferred but not essential.
