Job Title: Building Services Design Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
About the role:
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Building services design engineer for a reputable renewables company, who need a specialised design approach with their Air source / Ground source and water source heat pump projects.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience designing heating systems for domestic, commercial, and industrial projects. This is an exciting time to join this company as they are currently going through exponential growth, and you would be right in the centre of this growth.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years designing commercial HVAC systems.
- Renewable heating experience is a significant advantage.
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical or building services engineering (Essential)
- Chartered Heating Engineer (Desirable)
- Experience AutoCAD, IES & relevant MEP design software (Essential)
- Engineering technical excellence and pride in work / project outcomes
- Strong Project Management skills, ensuring optimal design and costs on all projects.
- Strong engineering thinking, combined with financial & commercial awareness.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise well when designing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate and methodical in work to overcome challenges and see projects through to completion.
- Ability to deal with complex tasks under pressure.
- Clear communicator, confident in communicating and influencing at all levels.
- Ability to build professional relationships with clients to generate confidence and deliver successful outcomes.
- Travel throughout the Northwest and occasionally in the UK
