Role: Technical Delivery Manager (Commercial Solar PV)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

The Role: Reporting to the Head of Technical Delivery, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth management of technical aspects in renewable projects. Working closely with delivery teams, your responsibilities span from ensuring safe installations to maintaining high quality and compliance with standards and regulations. Your role is essential in providing an exceptional customer experience and keeping Project Managers informed about technical issues.
Key Activities:
- Stay current with technical innovations and developments in the renewable field, collaborating closely with the Head of Technical delivery.
- Optimize efficiencies in stringing, module layouts, and inverter placement in coordination with the Technical Design & Mechanical team.
- Provide guidance and support to technical installation teams, addressing challenges in AC and DC technologies and control mechanisms.
- Manage the planning and execution of various work packages, including civils, structure, DC & module installation, AC electrical installation, auxiliary system construction, and asset
- Oversee the technical aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, guiding each through its complete lifecycle.
- Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure solar proposals align with practical installation.
- Travel for project-related activities, industry events, meetings, and quality assessments.
- Collaborate with the Head of Technical Delivery to review project deliverables and assist in
- project budget reconciliation.
Required Skills:
- Relevant engineering qualifications and 3- 5 years of technical experience in the Solar PV
- sector, covering the entire renewable energy project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in learning and utilizing Renewable design tools, project planning tools, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of SolarEdge Software and Products.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, with potential for European and international travel.
- Installation and commissioning experience.
- Electrical qualifications highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of DC & AC components, sizing, and mechanical operations.
- A commitment to delivering top-notch installations with cutting-edge technology.
- Confidence in interacting with clients, subcontractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
