Role Responsibilities
As a Heat Pump Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of Heat Pump installations, ensuring they adhere to the company, manufacturer and industry standards, including MCS. The job also requires liaison with customers and sub-contractors to ensure that installations are carried out in accordance with their requirements. Additionally, the Engineer must manage the remedials workflow to diagnose any issues and carry out prompt repairs. Routine servicing of both Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps will also be part of the job responsibilities. The Engineer will be responsible for supervising and controlling stock within the unit to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled correctly, and materials are delivered to customers for work to be carried out.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years experience with domestic gas
- Experience or knowledge in Heat Pumps
- Fantastic communicative skills; written and verbal
- Multi Meter experience - diagnostic skills
- Electrical know-how and testing skills to ensure safe electrical isolation, fault finding and component testing
- Good knowledge of pipe sizing and system design
- Fast learner
- Good problem-solver with the ability to think outside the box.
- Ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines
- Confident personality to build and maintain working relationships
- Team player
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Great attention-to-detail
Qualifications
To meet the requirements for this role, candidates should have the following accreditations and qualifications:
- ACS/NVQ Level 2/3 accreditation
- Unvented Hot Water Cylinder (G3) qualification
- Part L Energy Efficiency
- Basic Electrics
- WRAS Water Supply Regs (Preferred)
- F-Gas Certificate (C&G 2079 Full or equivalent) (Preferred)
- BPEC Heat Pump Qualification. (Preferred)
- LCL/BPEC level 3 (or equivalent) in heat pump Installation (Preferred)
- 18th Edition wiring regulations. (Preferred)
- Must hold a valid UK driving license
