We are glad to be in partnership with one of Europes biggest renewable energy providers. The company manages about 1GW+ of PV installations and are specialists throughout the whole PV plant lifecycle.
The company offers plant management and project development for utility-scale PV facilities in the UK and Europe.
Were seeking an experienced, dedicated Head of Development in the UK. Successful candidates will have comprehensive experience of utility-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects and strong commercial and negotiation skills.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Management and coordination of the UK PV project pipeline for utility-scale solar plus solar + battery storage projects up to DCO / NSIP scale.
- Leading and assisting the team on grid, land, planning, and public relations development activities throughout all project phases.
- Reports, reviews, and analyses of potential project opportunities for approval by senior management
- Project management of ones own project portfolio through the RtB stage
- Tracking the entire project pipeline and pushing projects through the development process until RtB by arranging and leading regular team calls
- Selection, commissioning, and coordination of service providers such as planning consultants, grid specialists, public relations firms, and so on.
- Assisting the team in communicating with DNOs, the National Grid, landowners, local governments, and internal and external project stakeholders.
- Processing and preparation of all grid, land, and planning approval documents
- Ensuring that Health and Safety legislation is followed
What are we looking for in a professional?
- At least 5 years of experience in renewable project development, acquisition, and management at utility-scale PV projects or other renewable energy development is required.
- Leadership abilities and extensive project delivery experience are required.
- Relevant training and/or studies (renewable technologies, engineering, geography, law, spatial planning or similar).
- Possessive appearance, strong communication and negotiating abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team by providing guidance.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office, Teams, and Box, among other things.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United Kingdom.
