O&M Commercial Manager - Solar & Storage (BESS) UK
Permanent: UK Homes Based (Remote)
Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (Flexible DOE)

About the Company
We are delighted to partner with an international Solar expert who designs, makes, and builds the full range of greenfield PV solutions as well as Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
They are among the best in the world at developing, engineering, financing, building, running, and maintaining large-scale solar photovoltaic and energy storage projects. Over 4GWp of solar projects have been built and connected all over the world. They have a great track record in O&M in the UK and are the market leader when it comes to the quality and range of services they offer.
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to help them grow their business while keeping the quality and speed of their services high.
What would your day-to-day look like?
- Oversee O&Ms strategy
- Streamline and digitise reporting tools
- Portfolio and Monitoring Staff Management supporting growth and improvements
- Board financial and operational reports
- Review, forecasting, and cost optimization
- Continuous O&M team performance improvement
- Clients and contracts management
- Compliance with O&M contracts
- Contract negotiations
- Onboard new assets contractually into O&M.
- Oversee O&M sales, and represent the business at significant forums.
- Reviewing sales possibilities, budgets, sales materials, short- and mid-term predictions
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder and contractual relationships
- Own and resolve customer and third-party questions
- Effective, helpful dispute resolution
- Insurance claims handling
- Supervise PAC, IAC, and FAC
- Adhere to all company policies/procedures, corporate ethics guidelines, and QHSE policy.
- Interact with the Operations Manager to verify field maintenance meets contractual commitments.
What are we looking for in an individual?
- Decarbonization and renewable energy enthusiasm
- Previous experience in a similar role in the renewables industry in operations and maintenance, asset management, and project management
- Previous experience managing and negotiating O&M contracts
- Commercial acumen combined with budget management and cost-cutting programmes.
- Excellent understanding of PV systems and their components
- Excellent understanding of BESS systems and their components (desirable)
- Contract negotiation and contract management experience
- Spirit of invention
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and solve problems
- Ability to establish relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Method of work that is structured and well-organized
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office. Capable of using CRM/ERP/CMMS tools
- Valid drivers licence
- Proficiency in English, with an additional European language a bonus
