Business Development Manager - Solar, BESS, ASHP (Renewables)

Permanent: Hybrid - South London offices - Regional

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (Flexible DOE)

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • To build a market-targeted installation pipeline.
  • Submitting of bids and tenders;
  • Working closely with the marketing and communications department to support strategic and operational requirements and the marketing plan;
  • Manage leads and customer relationships to build long-term business
  • Working with clients to survey properties and recommend heat pump, solar, and battery solutions;
  • Ensure operations meet MCS and Trustmark accreditation requirements
  • Ensuring customer relationship management processes comply with relevant Codes of Practice;
  • Pricing of projects through internal software tools;
  • Negotiating projects with clients;
  • Working with Project Delivery Teams to provide enough project foresight for planning;
  • Delivering successful project handovers on schedule and on budget.
  • Understanding supply networks and using the right technology;
  • Keeping all contract and financial documents and data in compliance with accreditations and operational standards;
  • Accurate accounting; ensuring favourable reviews, amazing customer journeys, and further building the business brand;

What are we seeking from a candidate?

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, and their suitability based on the clients needs.
  • Knowledge of government and regulation bodies policies and codes of practice e.g. MCS, Trustmark
  • Deep knowledge of the main manufacturers/suppliers in the renewable energy equipment space
  • Strong experience in marketing and business development, preparing quotes and tenders;
  • Confident using design software (such as EasyPV).
  • Deep understanding of the Supply chains used by partner organisations
  • Deep understanding of building regulations and the build process
  • Good understanding of project delivery pressures and risk;
  • Tendering systems and procurement frameworks;
  • Highly proficient in managing finances and use of IT;
  • Strong marketing, interpersonal, and communication abilities to engage, motivate, and influence all levels and teams, including pitching for business;
  • Persuasive, self-motivated;
  • Model a positive health and safety attitude for personnel and contractors;
  • Organized and meticulous;
  • Problem-solving strategy to quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability;
  • A dedication to professional and personal development;
