Class 1 Driver

Location: Gloucester
Salary: £44,000 – £48,000 per year (depending on experience)
Hours: Two-week rotating shift pattern (early and late shifts, Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent, full-time

We’re recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join a busy and well-established fuel distribution operation based in Gloucester. This is a permanent, full-time role offering excellent pay, stability, and long-term opportunities.

About the Role:

• Collect fuel from oil terminals or depots and deliver safely to customer premises and other depot locations

• Alternate two-week shift pattern:

  • Early shift: 4:00am – 2:00pm

  • Late shift: 3:00pm – 1:00am

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any damage or wear

• Follow tachograph and working time regulations, ensuring all breaks are taken correctly

• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately

• Drive safely and courteously, maintaining a professional approach at all times

• Be flexible and willing to assist with other driving or depot tasks as needed

About You:

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence – essential

• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card – essential

• ADR qualification – highly desirable

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors year-round

• Good understanding of tachograph rules and working time regulations

• Strong geographical knowledge and a professional driving attitude

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
