Job description
MDE are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join a market leading manufacturing business. You will be supporting production with your electrical, mechanical and hydraulic skills, tending to reactive breakdowns of complex machinery (presses, robotics, conveyors etc) and undertaking planned PPM activities to minimise down time, increase output and quality, and reduce costs.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is maintenance and repair of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
This will be conducted under the direction of the Engineering Manager, in order to ensure safe, timely and efficient operation!
SALARY & SHIFT PATTERN
Salary is £34K - £40K depending on experience etc.
Shift Pattern a 4-shift pattern as follows:
Week 1: 10pm-6am - Sun-Thurs
Week 2: 6am-2pm - Mon-Fri
Week 3: 2pm-10pm - Mon-Fri (With early finish at 6 on Friday)
Week 4: 8am-4pm Days (Flexible Hours when on days)
Also, requirement to work 6 hours every 8th Saturday.
PURPOSE
To provide breakdown cover and carry out preventative maintenance to various production machinery.
RESPONSIBILITY
Electrical and mechanical fault finding, and repair will be the main part of the role
CORE DUTIES
- Employer Pension, dependent on age. The minimum employer contribution is 5.5%

- We have an annual bonus scheme following successful completion of their probationary period. Half is paid in July and the remaining half is paid in December. This is based on personal and company performance
