Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0700-1600
Salary: from £44kpa
MDE Group UK LTD are recruiting for a permanent HGV Mechanic to join our established clients team based in the Highbridge area.
You will be a time served mechanic with solid experience as an HGV mechanic and would ideally have an HGV Licence. You will work in a fully equipped garage with a pit, pit jack, brake roller tester.
Job Description:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections and identify any potential problems.
- Carry out necessary repairs and replacements of parts.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of HGV systems, engines, and components.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid drivers license and HGV license preferred.
