MDE are hiring for a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to join a growing Mouldshop, where you will benefit from exposure to working on all aspects of moulding including processing and maintenance. You will ve the resonsible Setter on the shift alongside operators and engineers
Responsibilities
- To take responsibility for the setting and conditioning of injection mould tools in order to satisfy the requirements of the customer, to answer all alarm faults, employing permanent corrective actions.
- Daily, to review the quality of all production set ups, and processing parameters against industry standards and in line with the costed requirements
- To log and record all tool setting / sampling/material trials and maintain accurate master records and master samples.
- To be responsible for preparation of auxiliary equipment, jigs, fixtures, and assembly machines to ensure production requirements are met.
- Carry out quality checks in line with company standards.
- To ensure company monitoring system is always updated.
- To be able to identify quality problems and carry out first line trouble shooting techniques.
- Handling material safely and accurately to/ from store locations and machine side
- To ensure all production lines are adequately stocked with material, minimising line stoppages
- Ensure stock is accurately counted and booked when moved to and from locations using company systems
- Loading and off-loading lorries as required.
- To operate safely the forklift truck (*only when fully licenced)
- Keep racking, gangways, annexe in a clean and tidy state.
- Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken for traceability.
- To supervise staff on shift to manage break cover etc.
- Additional responsibilities and requirements as and when necessary.
- Attend all training programmes required by the company.
- Always ensure total confidentiality of all company business.
