MDE are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to support with the ongoing maintenance of single flow Production lines, incorporating Automatic Assembly Machines, Palletizers and Specialised Assembly Cells
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working within a fast paced, industrial manufacturing environment
This role offers routes for progression to engineer level and can support with gaining relevant qualifications
Main Responsibilites
- React to breakdown situations, carry out fault finding activities and undertake the timely repair of equipment including PLCs, Electric drives, robotics, pneumatics and screwdrivers.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities on various plant and machinery
- Report and feedback on breakdown causes, making recommendations on countermeasures
- Support equipment commissioning and installation projects across Assembly and Moulding factories
- Support the manufacture process of inhouse projects
- Strict adherence to safe working practices and observation of health and safety rules at all times
Desirable
- Knowledge of PLCs and Robots is advantageous but not essential. Relevant training will be provided where applicable
- Educated to ONC (or equivalent) in an Engineering related discipline.
- Completed an approved multi-skilled apprenticeship.
- Basic electrical competencies are required.
