MDE are seeking a HSE Manager who will be responsible for creating, deploying, and maintaining our clients safety, health, environment, and energy systems to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. This role involves maintaining the sites ISO14001, 45001, and 50001 accreditations and fostering a culture that promotes health and safety across the site.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Lead the audit process to maintain ISO14001, 45001, and 50001 accreditations.
2. Act as the regulatory knowledge holder and implement changes within the sites.
3. Act as a focal point for HSE matters, participating in and chairing HSE-related meetings, investigations, and incidents.
4. Support Group HSE initiatives and liaise with other HSE professionals across the organization.
5. Minimize the sites environmental impact through energy-saving, waste management, and hazardous substances initiatives.
6. Plan, assist, and conduct health and safety training for all employees, ensuring compliance with site and legislative health and safety requirements.
7. Manage key performance indicators for site HSE, including near misses, lost time accidents, safe observations, RIDDOR incidents, and waste management.
8. Manage risk assessment schedules and drive improved risk assessment methodologies.
9. Identify and lead internal auditing activity based on key HSE KPIs.
10. Support the development of the HSE coordinator.
11. Ensure all company standards are followed by all team members.
12. Attend Management Meetings as required as part of the site Senior Management Team.
13. Support continuous improvement activities within the company.

• Ensure processes are robust, focusing on process inputs to assure the process output and eliminate non-conforming product manufacture.
• Maintain and develop Health and Safety standards, supporting others to do the same.
• Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out similar tasks.

Required Education, Skills, Training, and Experience: Education:

• Essential: Apprenticeship trained, ONC or HNC, Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable: Degree or Higher vocational qualification (e.g., HND).

Skills:

• Essential: NEBOSH General Certificate, Internal or Lead Auditor trained, NVQ Level 5 Occupational Health and Safety Diploma, Minimum intermediate level in MS Office tools, Good Customer skills.
• Desirable: Mental Health First Aid, DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002),
• Good working knowledge of Plastic injection moulding and paint processes, Fire Risk Assessor, Manager, and Marshal Trained.
