Job Purpose
Accountable for the delivery of automation and control system software and commissioning work packages - on time, within budget, and of the required quality - contributing to the successful delivery of automation and control projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, engage and coach a team of Controls, Enterprise Integration, and Commissioning Engineers.
* Collaborate with the Business Development and Applications teams to develop robust estimation norms and provide pre-sale technical support.
* Work with Project Managers to ensure solid delivery plans are in place for all Software and Commissioning work packages.
* Ensure efficient allocation and utilisation of automation and controls system Software and Commissioning resources.
* Develop, maintain and improve Software Development, Testing and Commissioning processes and procedures and ensure their compliance.
* Develop and maintain supplier and sub-contractor relationships to ensure the availability of high-quality short-term / temporary resource to support peak demands.
* Create, maintain and improve internal standards, templates, libraries, methods and best practices to ensure the highest possible efficiency.
* Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Projects and Manufacturing management and supervision to ensure processes, standards and methodologies are aligned between two departments.
* Recruit, train and develop the best Controls, Enterprise Integration and Commissioning Engineers to fulfil the growing demands of the business.
* Monitor the teams output in line with project requirements, and audit the quality of work being produced to ensure best-in-class and right-first-time.
* Provide technical direction, embrace innovation, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and legal regulations.
Knowledge,Skills and Experience
- Minimum of BEng in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
- Minimum of 7 years in a relevant technical delivery / management role
- Subject Matter Expert in automation and control system software
