MDE are hiring for an experience Injection Moulding Setter with a stable and established Mouldshop. You will be working in fast paced enviroment where quality and efficiency is paramount

JOB PURPOSE This purpose of this role is to work closely with the mould shop management team and provide technical leadership for the mould shop setting teams to deliver a step change improvement in levels of yield, quality, efficiency and productivity necessary to meet our customers expectations and support the Companys strategic objectives. It will be vital to build links across the engineering departments and the maintenance department to achieve this.

RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with the Mouldshop Manager, Team Leaders, Setters and Toolhangers to identify and implement best moulding practise to achieve:

o Mouldshop scrap reduction
o Improved labour efficiency
o Reduced tool and machine breakdowns
o Reduced costs
o Improved quality

Work with the Production Planner and Team Leaders to ensure that the day to day production tool changes are set to fulfil production programs ensuring all setting parameters are within the limits defined on the master set.

* Ensure all master setting data sheets for each part is up to date and optimised to ensure best possible part quality.
* Ensure all down time, Setter scrap and try-out scrap/material usage is recorded accurately on the MES.
* Carry out troubleshooting on any moulding, quality or processing concerns.
* Control the inventory of Mouldshop equipment and spares to include robots, EOAT jigs, conveyors and any other associated equipment to ensure maximum availability at all times.
* Provide input into the IPMD process for Setters and Toolhangers to identify any training and development needs and ensure they have the tools and support required to perform at the highest possible standard.
* Liaise with the Toolroom and Maintenance departments in the correct manner to resolve concerns with tooling and machine related issues.
* To provide supervisory support when required.
* To carry out a thorough shift handover.
* Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others
