MDE are hiring for a skilled Installation Technician to join a fast paced systems integrator in Telford. As an Installation Technician you will be working as part of a team ensuring success of Installation Projects
Key Responsibilities
- Skilled Electrician, minimum 5 years preferably in an Industrial Electrical / Controls Engineering
- Experienced and capable of off-site installation / retrofit of control panels
- Ability to read and understand schematic drawings
- Capable of installing Cable Containment and Support systems
- Capable of mechanically fitting components to a drawing specification
- Wire control panels to engineered schematic drawings
- Testing of electrical control systems
- Attention to detail, ensuring high quality of build
- Proficient at using hand and power tools efficiently, adhering to health & safety protocols
- Excellent customer facing skill, deal professionally, competently, and courteously with customers
- Good, all-round electrical knowledge
- Speed and accuracy are essential
- Excellent communicator, both oral and written
- Self-motivated who can work unsupervised, either individually or part of a team
- Conscientious, hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail
- Enthusiastic, who sets high standard of work output, able to keep to tight deadlines
- Trustworthy, punctual, and reliable individual
- Site work within the UK and overseas
- A full UK driving licence
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Electrical/electronic relevant engineering qualification
- Fully Qualified Electrical Engineer Including BS7671-18th Edition
- Previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 5 years Electrical experience)
- Strong communication skills in all areas
- Capable of using initiative and paying close attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of prioritising
- Ability to work either individually or as part of a team
- Detailed knowledge of systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, robotics, PLCs and SCADA/HMI technologies
