MDE are hiring for an experienced Multi-skilled (electrically biased) Maintenance Engineer to support with highly complex machinery within a factory setting.
As a key member of the Engineering department you will support the maintenance and production teams in ensuring key production targets and maintenance outages are met.
Duties
- Take Responsibility for carrying out all planned maintenance activities ensuring Plant and equipment is at peak efficiency.
- Ensure all plant safety systems meet compliance with statutory requirements through routine testing and, where appropriate, replacement of equipment as necessary.
- Undertake small projects related to instrumentation and process improvement.
- Perform regular calibration, maintenance and testing of process instrumentation.
- Ensure Electrical schematics are up to date and to the required standards.
- Ensure all aspects of maintenance meet relevant health and safety standards.
- Assist shift leads/coordinators with plant breakdown activities as required.
- Minimise unplanned downtime through pro-active maintenance.
- Use SAP business system to record all maintenance activities.
- Maintain regular daily contact with maintenance coordinators and shift leads to ensure maintenance issues are being dealt with effectively.
Responsibilities
- Ideally - Completed an electrical engineering apprenticeship.
- Relevant electrical technical qualification (ONC Minimum).
- Systematic and logical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
- Demonstrate high levels of self-motivation, initiative and commitment.
- Energetic, persistent and pragmatic.
- You will need to be self-motivated, self-managed & determined.
- Have a flexible attitude and approach to the role.
- Be an effective team player.
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems.
