Project Manager - Commercial Solar
Burnley, UK - minimum 2 days a week in the office

MDE is supporting a reputable solar company with proven experience in delivering projects between 500Kw-4Mw in rooftop and ground mount solar. They have grown extensively as the attitude towards solar becomes ever more positive among local governments and businesses. Not only this but it is the cheapest & fastest renewable technology to deploy. This means great progression and learning opportunities for the right candidate.
The ideal individual for this role is someone who has experience working as an electrician in commercial/Industrial environments but is seeking a change to working in a project management capacity. That said candidates which express drive, a passion for renewables and a willingness to learn will always be considered.
The Role
* Develop PV projects from the award of contract to system installation to operation and
maintenance
* Create and execute project work plans and revises them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
* Create and execute project work plans and revises them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
* Maintain relationships with key clients and suppliers
* Produce site survey reports and feasibility studies
* Manage construction with responsibility for Health & Safety compliance
* Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
* Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
The Person
* Renewable or Electrical: 2 years (Preferred)
* Solar Project Management: 2 years (Preferred)
* Familiar with working with ISO standards and procedures
* SMSTS or similar Health and Safety knowledge and experience
* Experience in negotiating, structuring, and managing construction
* Practical experience in general electrical and building works
* Knowledge of commercial-scale PV design and installation
* Experience in connecting large electrical installations to the grid
* A renewable energy, engineering, or electrical qualification
