We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well renowned installer of renewable energy assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering complex solar, lighting and electrical projects ranging from £100k - £800k. The role involves working closely with clients, internal sales teams and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion, whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, be a good communicator, have an electrical background and be able to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal sales and clients to understand project objectives and develop project plans.
- Take complete control and ownership of all aspects of project delivery, including managing stakeholders and project correspondence.
- Ensure all personal and project health and safety aspects are met, including RAMs.
- Uphold a sound health and safety culture across the company.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required specification.
- Oversee accounting, costing and invoicing of projects, with support from Contracts and Operations Manager.
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality of engineering and technical standards.
- Assist with the recruitment of direct labor and sub-contractors.
- Evaluate project success and share lessons learned or best practice with other organizations or project managers.
- Use IT or other systems to keep track of people and progress and build strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experienced Project Manager with some electrical training.
- Technical excellence and pride in work/project outcomes.
- Strong project management skills with a drive to ensure optimal capital spend, time and robust solution delivery on all projects.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience working with engineering projects.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize when managing multiple projects.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and methodical in work to overcome challenges and see projects through to completion.
- Ability to deal with complex tasks under pressure.
- Clear communicator, confident in communicating and influencing at all levels.
- Ability to build relationships and a good rapport with clients to generate confidence.
- Experienced Excel user with a full UK driving license. Recognized Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) and ECS (Gold or Black) preferred but not essential.
