MDE are supporting a major Global organisation in the Dorset area who are seeking a HSE Officer who is passionate and driven to grow.
As a HSE Officer you will work closely with the HSE Manager ensuring compliance with all company HSE procedures, policies, management and legislations of HSE systems.
You will have responsibility of the following:
- Support development and issue of HSE communications such as campaign information, posters, briefings and noticeboard material.
- Assist with the management of accident and incidents records, ensuring management of timely closure of investigations and actions.
- Assist the HSE Manager to investigate accident, incident and dangerous occurrence making appropriate recommendations for remedial action in order to prevent recurrence
- Co-ordinate and assist with delivering, where applicable, HSE related workshops and training to all employees including Toolbox talks and safety alerts.
- Carry out HSE Induction for new starters, Contractors or as required.
- Maintain a strong presence on site, collaborating with the Supervisors and employees to provide guidance, information, and advice on Health & Safety related matters
You should apply if:
- Strong knowledge of COSHH, PUWER & LOLER regulations
- Strong PC skills, able to use Microsoft office suite, including but not limited to; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Committed to work to deadlines and determined to see a job through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Demonstrable ability to evaluate processes and instigate continuous improvement.
- Experience in a similar engineering, manufacturing or construction environment in a focused health and safety position.
