Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Operative:
- Stock Management: Receiving, handling, and storing stock accurately.
- Working in close contact with Chemicals and solvents (PPE provided)
- Order Picking: Preparing and completing orders for delivery according to schedule.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that products are not damaged and stored correctly.
- Loading and Unloading: Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Inventory: Keeping accurate records of inventory levels.
- Health & Safety: Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work environment.
Additional Requirements for Warehouse Operative:
- Counterbalance Forklift Operation: Ability to drive a counterbalance forklift is required (certificate desirable but not essential).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
- Team Player: Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in order picking and stock management.
Ideal Candidate for Warehouse Operative:
- Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Forklift Certification: Desirable but not necessary. In-house certification is acceptable
- Own Transport: Essential due to the business location not being on a recognised bus route.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to meeting deadlines.
