Are you ready to take on a senior position within the Renewables industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and support a large solar farm project in the UK.

As a key member of our organization, you will oversee the Civil Engineering construction at a large Solar and Battery Storage project. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders and play a vital part in ensuring the success of our project.

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Civil Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Director and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at the site.

Your main objective is to maintain high standards of Health and Safety, protect the works, and ensure the quality of the product associated with the civil engineering works. Additionally, you will monitor the design and construction process, ensuring adherence to the build programme and financial parameters set by the Board of Directors.

You will provide valuable input to achieve completion targets and actively participate in measures to address any variances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project delivery throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
• Effectively manage health, safety, and environmental issues in line with our policies and procedures.
• Review Contractors project delivery information, ensuring compliance with project constraints and overall programme.
• Maintain comprehensive records of the works progress and contribute to progress reports and meetings.
• Ensure the quality of the finished product meets Company and warranty provider expectations.
• Adhere to company requirements for site administration.
• Flexibility to undertake additional tasks as required to meet operational needs.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in fast-track civil engineering works within a design and build environment, including earthmoving and reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience in projects involving HV and EHV connections will be highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with the construction of industrial buildings is desirable.

Qualifications:

• Valid SMSTS Certificate.
• Valid First Aid Appointed Person Certificate.
• NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar.
• Current full UK driving license.
