As a Solar PV Commissioning Engineer, you will have the exciting responsibility of traveling across the UK to perform commissioning tasks. Our client values their engineers and cover all travel expenses, providing you with a company car for seamless mobility.

In this role, you will take the lead both on-site and off-site, conducting comprehensive testing and commissioning activities. You will handle all the necessary documentation and effectively manage internal and external supplies required for testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, adhering to industry requirements and our internal processes and standards.
• Review and compare data results against estimated design criteria, promptly addressing any corrective actions, including inspections, problem-solving, and identification.
• Fill in detailed test reports to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Provide valuable feedback to project management, design, engineering, and procurement teams, ensuring that commissioning requirements are incorporated into related activities, guaranteeing operability, safety, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations team throughout the construction phase, ensuring the highest quality of installation from project initiation to delivery.
• Configure and set up monitoring platforms on relevant portals, ensuring efficient and optimized system generation.
• Facilitate a smooth transition between the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) departments through a constructive handover process, ensuring proper system configuration and optimal functionality before passing it on to our dedicated Operations and Maintenance/aftercare team.
• Continuously strive for improvement by enhancing methods, processes, quality, compliance, and implementing appropriate action plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Solid knowledge and experience in renewables, with a focus on solar PV (preferred).
• Previous experience in Solar PV Operations & Maintenance (O&M) is advantageous.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel within the UK to various sites, including the ability to work away from home.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and effective communication abilities.
