Are you looking for a new challenge? MDE are currently seeking an experienced Grid Connection Manager to join a strategic investment group and help them continue their success and growth in the renewable energy industry.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of grid connections, including private wires and behind-the-meter connections, across our portfolio of onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

• Working closely with our development team, updating and maintaining our companys database of transmission and distribution grid information.

• You will advise and guide the team on a grid-focused approach to site selection, identifying available capacity and connection points.

• Optimise grid connection solutions for projects through feasibility studies, assess early-stage project opportunities and liaise with network operators

• You will prepare and manage DNO and TNO grid connection applications, offers, and agreements, and provide technical and commercial risk assessment of connection offers

• Handle contracts and relationship management for development projects, including guiding sites through the BEGA and ModApp process and reporting on progress.

• Support the wider company NRE team with delivering grid connections and electrical design solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.

• You will offer electrical engineering expertise during the design, procurement, and construction phases, and keep the team informed of regulatory changes and future network developments by liaising with network operators and OFGEM.
