Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Excellence: Assist the UK team in procuring equipment, services, and works for our cutting-edge projects
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate with our global procurement team and colleagues to ensure consistent, effective procurement strategies across the group.
- Process Ownership: Take charge of purchasing processes and procurement systems in the UK, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Order Management: Manage purchase orders for our EPC and O&M business units, ensuring a seamless procurement process.
- Supplier Relations: Lead the pre-qualification and onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers, fostering strong, productive relationships.
- Market Insight: Evaluate market trends impacting the procurement of essential equipment and services, keeping our strategies ahead of the curve.
- Contract Expertise: Assist in the preparation of tender information and subsequent contract negotiations, contributing to the success of our projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in relevant accounting or management supply chain subjects or equivalent experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Solar PV or Battery Storage markets is highly desirable.
- Contract Expertise: Previous responsibility for procurement of Solar PV installation subcontractors and/or Battery Storage materials is advantageous, along with a good understanding of typical contract formats used in EPC and O&M businesses
- Relationship Building: Ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors is crucial.
- Network: An existing network in the industry is desirable.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English
- Initiative and Passion: A self-starter with a commitment to self-development and a passion for renewable energy.
