Investment Senior Associate/VP - M&A - Berlin

Role Summary / Purpose
My clinet is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual as a Senior Associate/VP. You will be based in our clients Berlin or Hamburg office and will work with the wider team to analyse and execute deals in the renewable energy sector and participate in due diligence, financial analysis, transaction structuring, client negotiations, internal approvals, documentation and closing of transactions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build, develop, maintain, and analyse financial models and projections
- Conduct industry / company research, including risk analysis
- Perform valuation analysis for projects and companies
- Assist in creating internal approval documents and other supporting deal documentation
- Participate in developing process improvement projects
- Review operating and financial reports of project companies
Qualifications / Requirements
- 2:1 or above in any bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Economics
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of the renewable energy sector
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English and German (written and oral)
- Legal authorization to work in Germany or ability to obtain authorization

- Familiarity with commercial, financial, loan and equity products
- Experience of working in the energy sector
- Skilled communicator able to exchange ideas and information effectively in a concise and logical manner
- Ability to persuasively build and articulate a business case
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
