SCADA Engineer - Iver, Buckinghamshire

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation audit, once site works are completed by contractors
- Testing for readiness of Commissioning (involves configuration of various devices e.g., IP Address, Baud rate settings, etc.)
- Commissioning Support to enable supplier testing complete system remotely
- Trouble shooting, closing of punch points
- Documenting all site activities including Site Reports, Commissioning Reports, Snag List, etc.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001).
Skills & Experience Required:
- Working knowledge of UK electrical and safety codes and practices
- Electrical Engineering background (HNC, HND, Degree)
- 3-5 years of experience in an electrical substation environment
- Proven track record in Installation & Commissioning of PLCs/RTUs/IEDs and peripherals such as HMIs and SCADAs
- Experience with Status, Control and Monitoring of 11KV and 33KV Substation Switchgear
- Have good knowledge in Substation Automation system, IEC61850, PLC and substation auxiliaries
- Have knowledge in RTU/telecommunication/Metering systems is advantages
- Good skills in Windows Server operating system and LINUX operating system
- Perform troubleshooting on WinCC server and associated system components
- Troubleshoots, analyzes, repairs, reports on, and recommends/performs service of SCADA, PLC, instrumentation, motor controls, and process analyzers
- Work on incidents and change management requests in close coordination with the Service Desk to ensure system availability and reliability
- Provide site support to the Engineering & Construction team (E&C) to integrate new plants under construction
- Relevant technical expertise (Familiarity with overall electrical SCADA solution)
- Competent to clearly present information in both one-on-one and group settings
- Proven history of problem-solving skills and able to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Deliver assigned activities within agreed timescales and budgeted costs
- Team player, innovative with sound judgement and solutions driven
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -Interface with site personnel, Design team, vendors, etc. to resolve issues
