Role:

My client is a nation leader in the manufacturing of Solar invertors. They are committed to making the transition to renewable energy as seamless and efficient as possible. My client believes that the future of energy production is in renewables, and we are at the forefront of this industry, developing high-quality solar inverters that are reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. They are currently seeking a Solar Field Service Engineer to join their team working on commercial and utility scale solar.

The field service technician is in charge of ensuring minimal downtime while servicing and repairing utility and commercial inverters. Commissioning, debugging, replacing, and repairing inverters and other technology are among the responsibilities. Technical reporting and direct client support are additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Service, repair, maintain, and inspect the large range of systems and equipment installed throughout the UK.
  • Providing top-notch field support for industrial and utility-scale solar projects.
  • Commissioning, checking, and fixing PV systems put in place by reputable EPCs.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining technology, including central, string, and other inverters.
  • Working in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere with our clients, the top solar firms.
  • Interacting with top service managers to provide the best possible quality and service.
  • Processing incoming client calls, customer inquiries, and error messages delivered to our subsidiarys service line
  • Managing service logistics, spare parts, and logistics linked to replacing individual inverter components.
  • Documenting problems with SAP CRM
  • Upholds the highest levels of safety in the workplace and at the location.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires 18th Edition certification, Bachelors degree
  • Has at least three years of experience in professional customer service (telephone-based) and in 5 years + installation, repair or maintenance of electrical plants or other installations in the field of power electronics
  • has very good knowledge of high voltage and measurement equipment as well as occupational health and safety regulations
  • Must be proficient using MS Office and SAP, and a understanding of IP network technology
  • Has a Class B drivers license
  • Is willing to travel across the country / Provide support overseas if required
  • Has very good English language skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with customers in a positive and professional manner combined with good independent work skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Highly organised and can prioritise workload
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems effectively
