Role Objective
As a HVSAP within the O&M sector, you will play a crucial role in supporting our New Energy Teams transition to a renewable energy-powered world while ensuring sustainable long-term returns. You will be at the forefront of the fast-evolving energy sector, focusing on solar, wind, energy storage, and electric transportation technologies. This position offers significant room for professional and personal growth in the specialized alternative asset management environment within the O&M sector.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Collaborate closely with the HSE Manager to maintain strong HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment) standards across our portfolio.
- Perform scheduled reactive and preventative maintenance for the portfolio.
- Conduct site inspections across the portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Oversee multiple projects and manage contractors when necessary.
- Support the Asset Management team in optimizing asset performance across various disciplines.
- Prepare and submit reports following each site inspection (monthly or reactive).
- Utilize SCADA to monitor the condition of managed BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) assets.
- Identify failures and propose solutions to ongoing issues affecting availability.
- Visit sites, attend HSE orientations, and engage with technical advisers.
- Monitor PAC (Pre-Commissioning), IAC (Initial Authorization to Connect), and FAC (Final Authorization to Connect) processes.
You Should apply if:
- Ideally, you possess three to five years of experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably in solar or BESS.
- Hold a valid electrician license (AM2, NVQ Level 3 electrical certification, 18th edition, CSCS or JIB Card).
- Competency in HV AP or SAP (33kV) desired.
- Familiarity with SMSTS, IOSH, or equivalent certifications.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of assets with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IAuditor; knowledge of BESS systems preferred but not required.
- Experience with diesel or gas engines preferred but not required.
- Possess a current UK drivers license.
