Are you ready to lead the RFQ process, develop strategies, as well as identify and mitigate risks?

We are on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Subcontracts Manager (Senior Buyer)!

In this position you will be responsible for contract management and administration for floating offshore wind projects and studies. You will be reporting to the VP Contracts & Supply Chain and your role is pivotal in ensuring supplier execution aligns with contractual obligations and internal company requirements. This includes adherence to HSE targets, maintaining quality standards, and achieving financial outcomes within budgeted projections.

In addition, you will have the responsibility of fostering positive relationships with key suppliers, actively seekin opportunities for improvement, and contributing to enhancing safety practices and project performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement subcontracting and procurement strategies for steel component fabrication, equipment procurement, and logistics

  • Lead the RFQ process, including negotiations and contract award

  • Manage contracts to ensure project success and meet business objectives

  • Ensure project execution aligns with HSEQ standards and specifications

  • Identify and mitigate risks, drive improvements, and secure timely and budgeted deliveries

  • Interface with key suppliers to support project targets and reinforce market position

  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities with clients

  • Review proposed contracts, draft contract proposals, and manage change processes

  • Advise Project Manager on contractual matters and provide assistance to VP Contracts & Supply Chain

  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, subcontractors, and others

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Relevant technical and/or economic university degree

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project experience in oil and gas or renewable energy sectors

  • Experience in managing contractors and suppliers

  • Knowledge of Norwegian and international contracts

  • Proficiency in contractual terms, especially related to large fabrication and assembly contracts

  • Experience in contract drafting and RFQ/ITT processes
     

Personal Qualifications:

  • Commercial and contractual interest and understanding

  • Ability to establish and develop effective teams

  • Result-driven with a systematic and analytical approach

  • Effective communication skills in both Norwegian and English, verbal and written


Duration: 1 year, with the possibility of extention.
