On behalf of our client, we are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer
Job Description
- Responsible for system design, interface, and follow-up of ESD (Emergency Shutdown), PSD (Process Shutdown), and F&G (Fire & Gas) systems as appointed by the Automation Team Lead
- Develop SAS (Safety and Automation System) design according to project requirements, including functional specifications, hierarchy design, cause & effect charts, functional performance design specification (FPDS), I/O lists, and HMI sketch input
- Design and specify Safety Instrumented System (SIS) solutions ensuring alignment with existing plant architecture and seamless integration of SIS systems
- Prepare and maintain specifications for global SIS system design through contractual interfaces
- Participate in required multidiscipline design and safety reviews
- Ensure timely identification and communication of vendor and engineering information critical for project progress
- Act as interface coordinator towards other engineering disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives
- Offshore surveys may be required to gather site-specific input and verify design assumptions
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor or higher
- Minimum 8 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience from automation and SIS system design, including experience with brownfield modifications on a SIS system.
- Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC
- Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English - Both orally and in writing
- Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in team
- Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
- Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
- FSE-course, valid through the engagement
- Ex-course, valid through the engagement
