SAS System Responsible Engineer – Exciting Opportunity in Dubai or Aberdeen
Job Description
- Monitor quality of SAS discipline documentation and engineering activities within EPC towards ICT disciplines.
- Ensure all necessary information for commissioning and start-up is available from contractors.
- Verify data in the completion system (PIMS) to support system and sub-system definitions and commissioning procedures.
- Review FAT, SAT, and vendor commissioning procedures.
- Act as commissioning system responsible engineer for SAS/SIS.
- Ensure activities comply with company framework, contract requirements, Project Execution Plan, and relevant regulations.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between base organization, project teams, operations, and clients.
- Work with Regulatory Compliance & Verification Lead and contractors to ensure compliance and verification activities are completed.
- Review and monitor contractor deliverables to ensure regulatory and contract compliance.
- Oversee development of SAS system documentation.
- Participate in work pack reviews and ensure scope completeness.
- Review comments from Certifying Authority and assist in resolving issues.
- Participate in design reviews, safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP), meetings, and inspections worldwide.
- Collaborate with other disciplines in the FEED Management Team.
- Review and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for ICT/SAS equipment.
- Manage resources to maintain quality and progress.
- Report delays, design failures, or gaps to Commissioning ICT/SAS lead and ensure corrective actions.
Qualification Requirements
- Technical education on Masters level or higher within ICT
- Minimum 15 years of relevant Commissioning experience within SAS discipline
- SAS Engineering experience in addition to long commissioning experience will be considered an advantage
- Commissioning and Functional Safety experience, IEC61508/11
- Commissioning and Cyber Security experience
- Commissioning and Loop test experience
- Commissioning and Field instrumentation experience
- Recent experience of working on modification projects and / or FPSO redeployment is strongly desired
- Strong leadership & inter personnel skills applied to a multidisciplined project team
- Recent relevant experience in middle east / south east Asian shipyards is an advantage
- Diplomacy & assertiveness
- Organised, Systematic & Flexible
- English – fluent written and verbal skills
