CFO for an established Norwegian technology company in the energy sector
Fishbones is entering an exciting scale-up phase. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to play a key role in driving the company’s continued growth and international expansion. You will lead the financial function, ensure compliance, and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial management, including budgeting, reporting, liquidity, and risk control
- Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations (IFRS, taxation, ESG/GDPR, anti-corruption)
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management and the board
- Develop and optimize systems and processes, including ERP and digital finance tools
- Represent the company in dialogue with banks, investors, and other external stakeholders
- Support international expansion and manage complex corporate structures
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team through effective delegation and trust-based leadership
We are looking for a CFO who
- Holds a higher degree in finance, economics, accounting, or auditing
- Has solid experience as CFO or in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within the technology or energy sector
- Brings strong knowledge of project finance and international corporate structures
- Communicates clearly and effectively across cultures and organizational levels, in both English and Norwegian
- Is experienced with ERP systems and digital financial tools, or eager to build strong capabilities in this area
- Demonstrates professionalism and flexibility while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Works proactively with compliance and anti-corruption regulations
