We are seeking a proactive Business Analyst to support our Client's commercial and sales activities in the maritime sector. This role focuses on identifying shipowners and operators with relevant equipment and providing insights into service and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Market & Client Intelligence- Research and map regional shipowners, managers, and operators with vessels using Client's systems and machinery.
- Maintain a database of target fleets, equipment, and decision-makers.
- Analyze industry trends, port calls, and fleet movements to spot service and spare parts opportunities.
- Track competitor activity and benchmark Client’s market position.
Sales & Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyze service and spare parts sales to existing clients.
- Develop dashboards and reports on revenue trends, client concentration, margins, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Identify under-served clients or products with growth potential.
- Provide regular insight reports on performance versus targets.
Commercial Support
- Assist sales with presentations, performance data, and business cases.
- Support tenders, quotations, and contract follow-ups with data-driven insights.
- Contribute to annual business planning through market forecasts and pipeline analysis.
Personal qualities that are particularly valued:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis, sales support, or market research, preferably within maritime, engineering, or industrial services.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to interpret vessel data, fleet information, and maritime databases (e.g., Clarksons, IHS, Equasis, MarineTraffic).
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
